USB-C charging is great for standardized but also planned obsolescence. I use laptops to they drop but this will be the first component to fail.

Can the ram be upgraded? I see it says 1 8gb. I assume that means at least you can add one stick

I've been using backlit keyboards for over a decade and will NEVER go back. It's a tremendous QOL upgrade. Not sure why it would bother people to be asked about it.

Same here, one of the best QOLs for laptop. Before, I had a usb light I would connect to display on my keyboard lol. Same goes for touchscreen!! FREE THE MOUSE!!

Just NOT having thin white letters on silver keys is an upgrade for HP. I look for backlit, but not if it's white on silver. I finally decided the $100+ upgrade to get backlit on my last laptop wasn't worth the cost and bought bold glow in the dark on black stickers for my keys. Now I can read them both in a lit room and a dimly lit one.
