You DON'T need a subscription plans. It is optional. ALL printer manufacture wants you to get a subscription plan so they can earn more $$$. Brother sends me snail mail to join to toner subscription plan I just ignore it and they don't bother me at all.

Yes so how much would be with the 50% off from Staples? Would it be $181.00?

$369.99 - $15 = $354.99 - 10% off = $319.49 x 50% = $159.75
I'm assuming they will calculate the rewards after coupon and discount, but before tax.

Oh I see so after tax it would be around close to $200. OK not bad I guess.

Staples Rewards have short expiry. Make sure you use them ASAP.

Staples Rewards are issued online monthly in increments of $5. Rewards expire the last day of the month following the month in which they are issued and cannot be redeemed after the expiration date. Monthly balances of less than $5 will roll over through the end of the following calendar quarter. Unissued rewards will expire at the end of the following calendar quarter unless a Qualifying Purchase is made during that rollover period. For full program details, visit staples.com/rewards.

They "should" allow non OEM cartridge. They printer is so new that there is no generic for it. If there is it is expensive $295.99

Yes I agree. ALL these manufactures has chips and you can thank "HP" for the chip because I remember when I bought an HP Business Ink (2004) they start using "Smart chips". Then I bought a Canon Bubble Jet 6000 and they had chips. When I bought a Desk jet 820Cse I don't think the attached chips back of the cartridge back then in 1995. I could be wrong though but that is what I remembered.

There were no chips back then. I had a canon bubble jet 610 and an hp Deskjet 850c...but there were no generic carts back then either...at least until the early 2000s. The printers were like $550 and the carts were well over $40 each to print like 150 pages 🤣
