When I returned it, it was a pain. They don't pay for the return shipping label, Amazon sends you one where you have to pay for it yourself. I drove to FedEx to have them tell me that, an also, that particular one cannot store batteries (only a few can, even the dedicated FedEx stores) so I couldn't drop it off there. It was a pain, but it gave me time to complain to HeyBike and they sent me a prepaid shipping label. FedEx picked it up. It was a headache, but at this price, I may buy it again and hope it works out this time.
I did ride it a bit before I returned it, it did get up to 20mph and up hills, about 10mph. It was pretty fun. I do like the removable battery aspect of it, can store it inside during winters.
This is a price that you cannot beat. I wanted the Lectric XP 3.0 but at $1000, it's more than what I'm willing to spend for an ebike that doesn't have much utility for me right now.

Yes, granted charging for the product way before shipment is something Amazon rarely does, but in this case, it seems there is something different going on, obviously. No one really knows what, except the actors directly involved.
And regarding Amazon chat reps just parroting generic responses, they probably themselves don't know what is going on as well, as this might be something going on at a higher, corporate level.
And you are saying Amazon charged your cards (not authorizations, but completed charges)? That's quite a bit in interest
I believe delivery windows initially were for early January? That would explain it

This is just my speculation though
This is exactly what I think as well. I think the delivery estimate provided when purchasing was accurate, but that Amazon's systems don't account for this scenario when they generate the UPS tracking. These should start showing up the first 2 weeks of January.
I also think, half the people in this thread are going to lose their minds in the interim.
