When I returned it, it was a pain. They don't pay for the return shipping label, Amazon sends you one where you have to pay for it yourself. I drove to FedEx to have them tell me that, an also, that particular one cannot store batteries (only a few can, even the dedicated FedEx stores) so I couldn't drop it off there. It was a pain, but it gave me time to complain to HeyBike and they sent me a prepaid shipping label. FedEx picked it up. It was a headache, but at this price, I may buy it again and hope it works out this time.
I did ride it a bit before I returned it, it did get up to 20mph and up hills, about 10mph. It was pretty fun. I do like the removable battery aspect of it, can store it inside during winters.
This is a price that you cannot beat. I wanted the Lectric XP 3.0 but at $1000, it's more than what I'm willing to spend for an ebike that doesn't have much utility for me right now.

Do you believe a 1.5 trillion dollar company ate the cost of credit card processing fees, allocated man hours to handle extra call volume, offered multiple credits for late delivery, and ultimately put their reputation on the line for 3 relatively tiny bike retailers?
Then the bike didn't arrive when it said it would. So I did a chat with Amazon asking what was going on. I didn't really get a straight answer, but the rep said something along the lines of it looking like it got lost in shipping and that they immediately refunded my credit card. I didn't ask to cancel or anything and the rep made no mention of a cancelled order.
When I check my Amazon order history it shows the bike (which didn't ship yet) was refunded and has instructions for me to return it when I receive it. I'm not expecting a bike to get delivered but if it does, I'm not paying to ship it back. I'll have to contact Amazon again.
Nobody knows what's going on. but I've been on Slickdeals long enough to know that it's really easy for a retailer to cancel any large volume if orders due to a pricing mistake. The only negative publicity will be isolated to Slickdeals, and we'll all quickly forget about it faster than you can say "Tiger Direct" and "iPad" in the same sentence.
At least I got in on one slick MTB bike deal this season. That one shipped with actual tracking
*Update
I hit up chat this am. Lol
"They said they are having fulfillment issues and they expedited my order. I should get it in the next 24-48 hours."
Not holding my breath.
Maybe some lucky people were able to get the stock that was held at Amazon warehouses as heybike used to be a real seller but I'm pretty sure most of us have been scammed and they're doing a hit and run type of thing. Good news is Amazon will always guarantee a refund.

Stop reaching to these front line reps.

Eventually everyone, sooner or later, is going to have to contact Amazon for a refund on this unless they do a mass cancellation.

Relax and enjoy the holidays. Amazon once has a price mistake on 10 boxes of disposable gloves that they priced as a single box. It took 4 months, but they still sent them. No reason not to wait til the initial delivery estimate and see what shakes out.
Generating the UPS labels has the Amazon system showing delivery dates that reflect a normal estimated transit time. I order a lot and I've seen this many times, it doesn't mean anything until UPS picks it up. Chat reps don't have any actual information, ever. I'm going to gamble $1 in interest that Dark Lord Bezos pays out.
Does anybody have experience with suing Amazon in small claims court?
at this moment, amazon does NOT have the same bike on sale for 399.
the list says
Ships from
HEYBIKE INC
Sold by
HEYBIKE INC
+ 120 shipping fee btw.
so that just invalidate your second claim.
as for first, about sales contract. i suggest your read your EULA

If the correct price of an item sold by Amazon is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation
i got that US is a sue happy society, but i got the feeling that happens probably because people don't read and happily lost their legal fee in the process.

Feels like it must be a system error or human error somewhere. But I don't see the gain for Amazon if this was intentional.

The error to put it up for sale under Amazon. The error to underprice them considerably with free shipping. The error to create a UPS label. Then the error to update Amazon systems that it was already shipped.
This is no error.
The only up side, if any, is that original January shipment date. I'm not sure why that original shipment date either or the purpose of it.
