Yes. It is universal. I use that Ridgid stand under a Dewalt 12in slider (DWS779) and it is very solid and stable. Big wheels and easy to open and close and manipulate around yards and even up steps. As with ANY stand, if you are cutting near the ends of treated 12-16 foot 2x6 for example, you should get some roller stands (or just use a circ saw), that is just too heavy for the extensions, anything 8-10 feet is fine.

Not in one pass, 4x4 is the max for this saw. To do a 2x you would have to cut half and then flip it around. Doable, but not ideal, you need a slide saw to do 2x8s

I had a DeWalt before and the build quality is noticeably better than this saw. If I have both of them in front of me to compare, I will not buy this saw again. $97 for this saw should be a regular price.
