I know both can shovel small amounts of dirt, but what's the round soil scoop one that OP posted primarily for?

I believe it's for filling pots with potting soil? So you can transfer more soil without spilling compared to a regular trowel.
Exactly. It's the perfect tool while potting or repotting for scooping loose mix. Strong yet light weight. Also good for scooping of fertilizer and bird seed, maybe even ice melt. It's not a digging tool.
I had one like that and broke the 2nd time using it. Might be good for potting soil, but don't expect to be able to use it in anything other than soft soft soft dirt.
I've had other brands that broke when trying to dig into clay soil. Tempted as Fiskars is typically pretty good. Anyone have experience with their carbon fiber tools?

how and why the mods made the trowel alone a FP deal baffles me (the scoop maybe yes, but by the time they posted it was already OOS, and not even included in the FP description) The trowel itself is a great tool (I own it), but not a great price - IIRC you can always buy it for this price (or even less?) at my local hardware stores. In fact I spent 30 seconds googling and found this three-piece Fiskars set at Menards, which I think is a better deal than this: https://www.menards.com/main/outd...-13241.htm
