Make sure you buy a dimmer switch too - because otherwise they will probably be too bright for daily use (but great when you clean house).
Reputable brands make body of aluminium, so it can dissipate heat and last long. I saw costco had aluminium recessed led lights before, sometimes on sale.
* I bought mine Nov 1 at $59, so this may be close to a standard price.
* They don't have a rubber seal--you'll need to do a bit more work to make them airtight. (That said, mostly I am replacing old incandescent cans, and so these are a vast improvement even without doing more to seal.
* It's listed as "5/6" and fits my 6s hole fine, but the lip is narrower than the old one--and last painters didn't bother to drop them to paint, so I've had to do a quick circle with touch up paint on the ceiling before installing.
