I got this on the last deal. It works for my needs, more content creation than gaming. It looked brand new despite being refurbished. The only negative I found so far is the laptop doesn't use the video card for external graphics. Only the built in screen gets the video card. Also, you have to have a displaypot dongle if you want output 4K at 60hz. Hdmi dongle will only do 30hz at 4K for external monitors.

That actually seems like a pretty huge negative, or at least a major missed opportunity. I've never owned a laptop with a dedicated video card. Is that unusual behavior?

This seems more typical, but again, kind of lame. You'd think with the dedicated videocard, they would have worked to optimize video output.

Thats a pretty big negative, huge actually. Will pass on this and keep the gigabyte I been holding from Best Buy still with the 4050 that I got for $615ish Open Box.

exactly. the weight of this laptop (3.2lb) with touchscreen is what got me considering this deal..

the other 16" at 4.5lb is way too heavy

Glad you posted.

May I know how you figured the external display isn't outputting through the dedicated GPU? I personally didn't even know that was even possible, but I'm not in the know.

Secondly, what dongle did you mean? An HDMI to DP port converter? I ask because my specific use case is to use the DP port on my display, and that's non negotiable. I'd hate to see 4k@30Hz, instead of the theoretical 60Hz.

FWIW, I bought a refurb touchscreen laptop from The Official Lenovo Store back in June. If it didn't have a sticker on the bottom that said "refurbished" you would not have know it was anything other than brand new. Even came packed as new with manuals, retail box, etc. Flawless.
I recently ordered a slim 7i not pro from Lenovo and I returned in a day, which will look like new if someone gets it. But the touch screen was not working and the battery was lasting only 3 4 hours. I will be vary of the stuff that comes from Lenovo especially in this slim lineup
