I figure that way I can stack them for a single 3/8" or split them for 2 3/16" to cook two slightly less browned pizzas at the same time. Maybe see if having one on the rack above gives a better top too. Plus it was $15 cheaper than a 3/8" anyway.

Damn. Shipping I think kills the deal.
Are these used, or just have defects on one side?
I've had two factory seconds delivered, and both had very minor scratches/defects on one side only. Even with that, once you get them seasoned and used a few times, those defects are completely irrelevant. Thumbs up for the company too -- the reason I got two was Fedex somehow misplaced a 30lb. chunk of steel for a few weeks, and they replaced it quickly. The original showed up eventually, I was honest and contacted them, and they said keep it, too expensive to ship back.

3/8 is OOS so I was tempted, but stacking them won't work the same as having one that is twice the thickness, from what I have read.
I'm impressed with the results using these. Definitely get the 3/8".
Totally agree. I used a baking stone for years and recently started using the steel. Crust cooks faster and definitely crispier if that's what you like.

Bought one here a few weeks ago for a few bucks more. Not even mad.
