Reason why people love the v3 is that it doesn't have a price for subscription

I got those last time they were a front page deal for the same price, and got Samsung 128GB SD cards, now I have up to 12 days of 24-hour continues HD 1080P recording.

Pretty neat

FYI if you're going to use these with a Nest Hub or the Google Home app they won't work. All my Wyze cameras connect except the new ones.

Do newly purchased V3 cameras still get the free Cam Plus Lite?
You must have a grandfathered plan that you opted into in the past. If this doesn't sound familiar to you, you likely do not qualify and must pay up unfortunately.

Wyze could disable RTSP support anytime
This is false.

The firmware that enables RTSP disables OTA updates. So, unless Wyze comes to your house and flashes the stock firmware back, it's not going anywhere.

The only downside of the third party firmware is that it's about a year's worth of updates behind the stock firmware.

However, since Wyze doesn't seem to ever focus on improving the actual camera functionality or introducing value added features that aren't pay walled, there's not much to miss out on.

Once you get RTSP working, you can use a central server such as Shinobi for advanced motion detection and storage, eliminating the need for buying large micro SD cards.

Is it confirmed that these can have the free cam lite plan? Even if I did not have it before and new to the environment ?

Do not use these indoors if you don't want to see yourself on pxxxhub.
Read about how they simply let users see each other's video feed.
+1. And have them connect to guest wifi which is isolated.

Events go back two weeks
They used to, today I saw a notification for an event at ~7am clicked on it and was able to play it. Once I closed it and went back to the event list, I didn't see it listed there. Only events from 8am onwards were showing up. On my other cam which is v1 and I opted in for free cam+ I see older events Confused

My events go back to Nov 29th. I clicked on one for this morning at 6:47am, let it play then closed the app, reopened the app and it's still there

Don't know why your events aren't showing. Did you pull up on the page to refresh the older events?

Their app/server is buggy and glitches sometimes. Try a bit later.

Can you post a link to the RTSP firmware ?

I recently switched to the free cam plus lite sub and for some reason all my notifications stopped working on my apps. Has anyone had this issue? I've checked the notifications settings on the cameras and apps several times and I see events in the app, but I no longer get app notifications for any events.
