I purchased older version of supernova+

Nike and Adidas shoes tend to run narrow for me. I have flat and wide foot. I bought it because it was cheap.. I thought it would be back up running shoes in my car.. but never really saw running time on it.

Lesson learned: getting one pair of shoes you like is better than 4-5 sales shoes

Asics Kayano works well for me.
For nike, Nike Free RN 2018 works well ( soft and 0 offset)

Supernova+ should work well for casual running or walking around.

Always prefer comfort over design.

Offset is height difference between back heel of the shoe and front part.. for me 10mm is too much for me and 8mm is better for running.

For walking, I prefer something like Vans or converse.. or zero drop shoes

Hoka Clifton 9 has 6 mm drop.. and brand Altra ( I think that's what is called… they sell it at REI has zero drop.

I purchased Adidas super nova+ ( older model) and Saucony Ride 15, ASICS NovaBlast Due to slickdeals.

But I joined a local running club, and started to see its important to pick a right shoes for right job.

1. If you want shoes for working out, or lifting.. you need strong heal that can withstand the weight. Professional lifting shoes have hard wedge in the back. Serious lifters use converse or vans over soft running shoes.

2. For walking, try shoes with no "offset". Or zero drop shoes. Vans, Converse, make sure your toes have enough rooms. // Nike free RN 2018 was zero drop // Allbird some model is zero drop.

3. If you over pronate… ASICS Kayano

4. Running speciality store can help you get the right fit, and really measure your feet.

5. Hoka offer 60 trial for their shoes register as member // Brooks also offer 90 days wear and test trial.

Just like many SDer, I love good deal, but looking back. I spend $50 here, $40 there , $60 there… and never ended up with shoes I want to go workout in.

I would invest some shopping time and find the right shoe brand for your need

What is use?
Walking / Recovery Run ( easy run, jogging /speed Run, Tempo run, Interval Training/

Any special needs?
Overpronate, underpronate? Wide feet?

Which offset?
10mm ~ 0mm

I lost about 30 lbss this year.. just fixing diet. And I started adding "easy runs"

Nike Run Club app has "guided run" where the coach help you run correctly.

Easy run is where you run slower than what you can run. Like 60%~70% effort.
You are barely jogging and you are just opening up your stiff body with warm up.

Guided run with Nike running app ( free)
Try first run, next run, easy run.

Most of your running should be this type of recovery run.. and you sprinkle in specialized runs after

- Long distance running ( by time or distance)
- tempo running
- speed running
- interval running

But majority of run need to be recovery run. It's Bette to do daily easy recovery run vs do hard speed run and need 1 week to recover.

For those who are looking to lose weight, get the shoes you like to wear, and add more easy workouts, instead of going hard-core mode on Jan 1st and quit by Jan 15

Anyone know how the width of these are? Are they narrow and right like Nike or more like Saucony (I wear 10.5w or 11 in saucony excursions but I can not wear many versions of Nike as they are so narrow)?

Amazon has this at 69 bucks for my size, which seems to be the regular price (60-85).

It is still a great deal and I will be purchasing one—just mentioning it if someone thinks 120 is the full price of this item and sees the deal greater than it is.

Is this better than supernova 2? I got those for $30 earlier. those are still returnable.
I just need a comfortable walking shoe.

The upper has string loop on top. Some runners will cut that out and mod the shoes, because it can be bothersome.

Adidas upper can be bothersome.

Purchased a pair when Adidas eBay had the sale. Can't speak for working out but these are one of the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. The material on the inside is soft and almost silk smooth. Very premium feel.

Got mine today and should have ordered a half size smaller. Looks like they don't take exchanges or returns. Bummer.
