I remember buying the 11lb bag of whey protein isolate from Myprotein via their usual deals and paying around $65-$70. The so-called list price at that time was around $125.

So I was surprised when I looked at the website for this deal and was surprised to see that 11lbs was now listing at $264.99! Whew.

What explains a 100% increase in list price for the 11lb bag?

Unfortunately there are only a handful of unflavored whey isolates on the market and they're all more expensive than Myprotein (with a coupon) at $13-20+ per lb. Anything $10 and under is close to as good as it gets these past few years. It's also nearly impossible to find any protein without artificial sweeteners.

It does, it's my second favorite flavor, but only comes in the 2.2lb unfortunately

its not a great deal, they just had a promo in the last month for 2x 5.5lb bags for $80. $10/pound is common deals on many brands currently.

Right, not all of the Whey proteins offer unflavored(no sweeteners) as an option.
Nutricost, MyProtein, Now Sports, & Isopure --- there are probably others but these are the main ones I am aware of.

NutriCost & MyProtein seem pretty similar.
I had a bad experience with an IsoPure product, so I avoid it.
I've tried other NowSports products, but I haven't tried their Whey Protein Isolate.

Pre-covid this was 3 2.2 lb bags for $38.
