Looks like it's got pretty basic/bottom-of-the-barrel tier parts, but it's still better than a HP or Lenovo with proprietary parts. Looking around it gets good reviews.

I think you can build for a little bit cheaper, but this will do for a solid medium 1440p PC. The CPU might be a bit of a hindrance if you are looking for high frame rates at 1080p.

Edit: The RX 6700 is going to be a bit faster than the RTX 3060, but not ast fast as the RTX 4060 which is more about as fast as a RX 6700 XT.
Edit 2: I was looking at a bit of a hetero orthodox benchmark suit... It's more about the RTX 3060 Ti. The 4060 is allover the place with it's limited bandwidths.

I wouldn't mind buying this if it wasn't for the DDR4 RAM. That's a deal-breaker for me.
What's wrong with DDR4? I don't see an issue with it unless you plan to upgraded very soon, in that case it makes sense.

DDR4 is a dead end. For the next system after this, you're throwing away the RAM. At least the video card can be migrated to another computer.
You're throwing away the whole motherboard and CPU for that matter. RAM is cheap by comparison; $30 for the sticks in this guy.

DDR4 is more than half the price. Why not upgrade when prices fall vs paying a premium now?

It really isn't as clear cut as it should be. The RX6700 is likely a bit more powerful than Xbox/ps5, but it's hard to directly compare things like teraflops because from game to game you'll get different optimizations for particular systems. Console games can get better optimized, so having "better specs" on a PC might not matter as much. GPU here is "better," but the RAM is technically slower. This probably won't be much better than a current Gen console unless you want the PC gaming experience.

Exactly. There are no realistic use cases requiring DDR5, especially not gaming.

PS5/XB X will be faster/better. Beyond 6750 XT, PC is faster/better.

Game consoles don't run Windows, and are specialized for gaming. Xbox X runs a
stripped down version of Windows 10 but it's made specifically for Xbox hardware.
