If you need to cut small stuff using woods, then it will do the job. Overall, it's a decent little machine to get you into CNC. But if you want to get into something bigger like woodworking, I'd get an x-carve or shapeoko or onefinity

Higher the number, the bigger your X and Y axes will be.
As for where to get them, that naming convention is used everywhere. If you don't want to wait for it to come by boat via Ali or eBay, you can spend a bit more and find them on Amazon.
For gantry and spindle upgrades, there's plenty of modding guides on Reddit or various forums. Some people even swap in a 1/3HP router, but that's mostly for woodworking.
