This is a managed switch with PoE at half the price of the unmanaged one you linked. The use cases are completely different. Most people are going to use the switch in this post for PoE camera systems.
and yes before anybody asks. I do have 2.5gb ethernet adapters in my desktop and Synology server.

Question for folks using this with POE cameras. Does anyone have a system in place to stop recording or power to indoor cameras when you're home? My thought would be something like a push button from Aqara to trigger a script to cut power to specific ports on the POE switch, but is that even possible? Or is something possible with RroLink scenes?

You could probably rig up something with a smart plug and PoE injector.

Use a dedicated switch for your cameras and just put it on a smart plug, then you can schedule or automate however you want without impacting the rest of your network. It is possible to turn just POE off on single ports thru web UI but it will be difficult to automate on switches that don't have a command-line interface (like this one and many other low-cost and small footprint gigabit poe managed switches).
I recently had fiber installed in my home which is wired with ethernet. They only made one ethernet port live. Would a switch like this help me in a scenario like this?

Yes, this switch is probably overkill for you unless you want POE and VLAN. A standard 8-port switch would be about $30
Can I use this for this scenario - 3 ports for POE cameras and 3 for mesh back haul? Mesh network is not expecting POE , but is there is any issue in connecting Poe port to my tp link mesh backhaul ? Kindly advise
