I comment this almost every time someone shares a fragrance deal from Amazon, but please please please do not buy frags off of Amazon. Third party sellers are notorious for counterfeits.
Jomashop, Fragrancenet, Fragrancebuy, and Giftexpress all have 100ml testers of The Dreamer for $20-25 anyway, and these are reputable places which have climate controlled storage specifically geared towards fragrances.

I've had a bottle of this for a couple years now. It's heavy on the spice with a bit of cedar/spruce and very masculine. It's rather one-note with very little change when worn. It's not my favorite, I prefer to have more of a wood/leather/vanilla overtone with spice notes. I'd almost say it's a strong man's scent to wear around men rather than something more complex to enjoy around mixed company. Think "heavy Irish Spring soap in a locker room", lol.

I cannot agree with this more. Amazon is notorious for counterfeit fragrances. I never buy name brand from there. But Amazon is a great source for nice smelling colognes/perfumes that are not branded for a reasonable price.

Which with inventory co-mingling means absolutely nothing. Amazon might not mean to sell you a fake, they might not even know they sold you a fake.

But you're likely to get a fake (especially in certain categories) anyway.

Thanks for this explanation. I did not know about this at all - Always thought "Ship & Sold By Amazon" means it's authentic. Which other categories are known to be more likely to be fake / counterfeit?

I've gotten fake knives, fake cologne, fake microSD cards, fake SDHC cards, fake thumb drives, fake clothes, fake socks, fake rechargeable batteries, fake flashlights, fake rifle optic, fake supplements....

Basically almost anything you can think of. It's gotten pretty bad on Amazon in the last few years.

Best way to not get ripped off, is always know what you're buying, know what it looks like, feels like, what it weighs...

Or just don't buy anything "mission critical" from Amazon. Food, cleaning products, or reputable sellers not shipped by Amazon.

It's become a massive headache shopping on Amazon.

Basically anything that has a brand name that has premium value (I'm talking widely sold, high volume products since most brands seek to have their name associated with premium value) has a high risk of being fake. Fragrances are very popular to fake because it's relatively easy to do and the margin is so high. But brand name batteries, razors, … are subject to fake because people love brand names, they trust brand names for quality and they are worth more. However it's not limited to Amazon, fakes make their way into the brick and mortar supply chain as well, in-spite of efforts to keep them out.
