Personally I have cherry ones in my home theater and light ones in the sunnier room.

Probably not. Arguable whether it's an upgrade, though I haven't listened to the s426, their appearance makes me wonder if they are from before klipsch owned Jamo, when I suspect Jamo got such a good reputation for high performance.

Black makes sense for home cinema. I don't want to see the speakers when the lights are out.
