Mazda is having a hard time moving inventory. I bought a new CX-5 Signature at the peak of the pandemic shortages with 0.9% financing and $1000 below MSRP.

I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.

One thing i've learned in life is, once you make a large purchase, like a house or car, etc. Just stop looking and researching, you'll only be disappointed

I might be missing something here but title shows 28.8 and yours 35.7. Is this because you did not get base? Just very strange posting title.

As long as electric works for people. If you rent a home with no charger, apartments, condo, etc. That kind of kills the deal. Buy yeah base Y are stupid cheap after rebate.
I just posted the base price in the title but the cx5 has many trims. I went with the premium plus so the msrp is higher. But regardless if you go with base or the top of the line fully loaded option, it is still 0% interest. That's the main deal

Buy a CX 5 with Bose sound system! Play your favorite Mp3s (converted from youtube music videos).

BTW, by default, your Bose surround sound feature is NOT activated. Go to Sound menu and turn it on!

Tip: Go to Home Depot and buy a rain gutter metal screen. Install it on the lower part of the front bumper to protect the exposed radiator fins from road debris.

LOL, for those not familiar,

Wheel locks should cost about $30
Interior Lighting about $35
Rear Bumper Guard around $9
Cargo Cover around $100

The markup on those items is insane!
I'm actually not familiar but they did show me the invoice price. I saw in total the mark up was roughly 1k. But no dealer gonna give these away at the prices you posted

Negotiate.. Daughter bought a 24 S Select in September with no dealer add on crap.. $29,550 which was 1700 under Msrp. That works out to be about 900 under the "invoice" which is just a bogus number these days anyway.

Got wife a 24 Forester last month at invoice. Have to say, overall we both like the Forester better than the CX-5. But the CX-5's heated seats actually heat up lumbar area which I wish all heated seats did.

Rented a BMW X5 last week for a couple days in AZ. Nothing compares to that baby. But with a $70k price tag, Id rather buy a CX-5 and Forester and have money for gas left over.. lol
What state and dealership

I know this is the CX-5 thread but just wondering if anyone here has an experience with a newer Mazda 3 sedan? I'm in the market for a car and the Mazda 3 looks decent (at least on paper). I believe the 2.5 NA 4 cylinder that Mazda is using a cylinder deactivation if I'm not mistaken? Is that an issue these days for longevity? I believe Mazda has these a handful of years back and took it away for a few years and then brought it back so maybe they improved it?
Don't necessary answer your question but my Mazda 3 from 12 years ago is still going strong at 140k miles. Just needed a bigger car for the kids!

Just turned on today and was amazing! Don't know why it's off by default in addition to touch screen while driving. I know they don't want you touching stuff while your driving but they let you use the knob which takes much longer and harder to use

2024 MAZDA CX-5 2.5 S CARBON
$33,325 MSRP
$31,325 was the dealer price. I didn't qualify for any additional incentives. I did receive a few options (all-weather mats, black lug nuts/wheel locks, license plate frame) for no additional charge.

This was the first purchase I made for the new car to fill that unsightly gap:

Looks much better now imo.

Who cares about grand total? Price before tax, title, license and doc fees is what matters most to compare apples to apples.

Pre-COVID, CX-5's were easily had at 17-18% under MSRP, where Invoice used to be but no longer is. It doesn't mean the dealers are paying more than their vehicles. It's a game all manufacturers have played, increasing the Invoice price up and up over time, Mazda included.

I have no idea what people pay nowadays but the CX-5 is on its way out and dated, no matter the strong package that it is. We passed and bought a hybrid and we have a 2015 6 that was 18.3% off MSRP with good negotiation in a large market and a lot of dealers trying to play ball. Mazda has drug its feet and invested in stupid areas that haven't materialized and not invested in ones it should have (hybridization). We'll likely never buy Mazda again now that they are trying to move upmarket but I do not believe they will be around 10 years from now. They'll try to play the closer-to game and outprice themselves.
What is good negotiation? They don't take off dollars just because. What leverage did you use?
