I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.

If you're like me and change the car every 3-4 years, the low interest rate will offset the higher depreciation but doesn't save you a lot.

I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.
Let's say you buy this new at $30k. 3 years later, you sell it for $20k. Cost you $10k.
The alternative is to buy a 3 year old car at $20k. And then sell it in 3 years for $14k. So it cost you $6k. Not exactly a mind-blowing amount of savings.
And you have to deal with someone else's farts and decal matter embedded in the seats, and their nose pickings on the carpets. I'd rather work harder and get new.
Unless you're buying a super premium car that has massive early depreciation (Rolls Royce or Ferrari) or you're buying a 7 year old+ car that already has about 60% of its value depreciated.
