Mazda is having a hard time moving inventory. I bought a new CX-5 Signature at the peak of the pandemic shortages with 0.9% financing and $1000 below MSRP.

I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.

Premiun Plus
MSRP (negotiable) $36,500.00

Lug Nuts and Wheel Locks (negotiable) $225.00

Interior Lighting Kit (negotiable) $350.00

Rear Bumper Guard (negotiable) $135.00

Cargo Cover (negotiable) $250.00

Delivery Fee (non-negotiable) $1,375.00

Total Sticker Price $38,835.00

Friends and Family discount -$2,600.00
Mazda Loyalty discount -$500.00
Total Price of Car (This probably where your bread and butter is in terms of where you can negotiate) $35,735.00

Sales Tax (obviously non-negotiable) $2,263.73
Doc Fee (admitted probably on the high side, maybe negotiable) $499.00

I asked for free weather mats and got it at the end

Might be worth asking for a few extra free oil change coupons as well

One thing i've learned in life is, once you make a large purchase, like a house or car, etc. Just stop looking and researching, you'll only be disappointed

Uh super charging? I love when people make they case that electric does not work on trips. It might be a little harder but super chargers are all over now where you can easily do it.
Would you be able to show me a site so I can plan a trip that conveniently (does not take me out of my way) takes me from Atlanta to Toronto? And another from Atlanta to St.Louis?

And using a Tesla model 3 (claiming 333 miles), would you know how long a fast recharge would have me waiting to get back to say....90%?

And yes. I make the Toronto trip (visiting family members on the way) once a year.

When it saves you thousands or tens of thousands buying same vehicle used.......why would you want 0% that requires you to buy new?

Just bought a 2024 CX-5 Turbo. 0% for 60 months was a Hugh factor in our decision. Not all dealer are willing to go below MSRP, so look around. We were able to get the car fro $3K under MSPR. Classic Mazda, Orlando
so $26k without any extra fee AND 0% for 60 months? thats insane.

$3k under MSRP on a trim starting at $37k MSRP will not equal $26k Wink

yes you can. just dont let them look at you like a fool. some of them even walked away from you without saying a word after your offer. you can talk anything you want. the real question is "if" they are willing to offer anything close to your offer

Not quite Mazda related but the CX90 is up for consideration as well: coming off a 3 row lease in Jan. I know incentives seem to be the best this month they have been in quite a while but I'm considering buying out and see what the market is like next Dec. Feels like some of the newer gens need some refinement - the CX90 is completely new, the new Honda Pilot needs a larger infotainment screen, the new Traverse is coming out in 24, etc. Any words of wisdom?

Outch, Atlanta to Toronto adds 2.5 hours to the trip in just charging.....

And you must be going fairly slow to get that range because Tesla app shows 18hr commute with 15.5hr of driving (18-2.5 charging). While Google maps has that same route done in 14 hours 2 mins.

So 28% increase in trip time by using Tesla. Cray cray.

When you say 29k out the door, it includes everything including taxes, title and registration? I am asking becoz even mazda website has MSRP as 33k for carbon edition
Yes, no doubt. Always negotiate total price out the door. Let them figure out what the cost of the car actually breaks down to. I've been doing this for years. If you don't believe me go on YouTube for new car negotiation tactics. If you just negotiate price of the car some of those extra fee's can be driven up to increase their profits.

Waiting for thel time when dealerships become obsolete. Like why can't they sell this online and ship to customer like Tesla does?
