Got this in black at the BBB firesale in june of 21 ($63.99 shipped) and it's good enough for my uses (*always* grind the same amount of the same grind 1-2x a day) that I am tempted at this price to get a backup. After daily use for ~1.5 years the grinder at times turns on without a touch so it now lives unplugged and has continued to respond to touching appropriately when plugged in. Truly a great grinder that allows those that want to the chance to grind beans into another reciprocal rather than only the one it comes with.

Listen to yourself. You're talking yourself into buying a back-up coffee grinder.

Welcome to slickdeals. I also have a backup coffee maker because much like the grinder. I use it every day of the week, at least one to two times a day and not having it would adversely affect my quality of life (and such things don't mind being in storage for however long🤪) I don't think I've bought coffee at a coffee shop in nearly 20yrs because I always had a backup maker ...

But no, for this item, I've decided to wait until it drops below 100 since I already have one that pretty much works. (Everyone's got their thing, mine is decent coffee...)

I don't have a back up grinder, I just have a grinder for pour over and another for espresso. That logic checks out, right?

I agree 100%. I have a backup grinder and coffee maker. I doubt the Moccamaster will fail me and the Baratza Encore has not missed a beat in 3 years of daily use. But you always need a backup.
