Anyone know if this is flashable firmware to read and rip UHD Blu Ray's?

Will this work with an Xbox?
If you have an all digital console like the Xbox One S All Digital, or Xbox Series S, there's currently no option to add an optical drive. You must buy a device that has disc drive such as Xbox Series X.

For home users, stick with the SATA version of these drives, they are faster and more reliable
True, but most people don't have pc cases that accommodate sata drives.
Also, I bought this last year at this price from Bestbuy and afaik the price hasn't changed since then. It's been working well as a backup to my LG WH16NS40 to rip 4Ks though. Flashing it was also pretty simple with instructions from the makemkv forums.

Yes to UHD. Make sure you have gen8-10 Intel CPU.
I've never flashed a drive or even seen a UHD disc, but this one is on the list.
