Mine were completely dead and seemed unresponsive on first startup, but I charged the case all the way up and tried them again after 30 minutes or so and was able to pair right away, you might try charging them and see if you can get them to pair after
ANC is decent, bass is good enough IMO (more bass than Etymotic IEMs and other more neutral in-ear headphones), sound quality is a step or two above other headphones I have from this price range.
App is good with a lot of EQ options, a few of which are really good without introducing excessive distortion. As others mentioned, use the app and make sure you find the right tips for a good seal in your ears.
I use XM4s and Bose QC for over ear ANC, Philips open back studio headphones, Etymotic IEMs, etc.
Not at all disappointed in the performance of these at this price
Got my order today, quick delivery..excellent pods

Not sure if you got a dud, or if you didn't install the app to change the audio settings/eq, but these are comparable to the generic beats earbuds IMO. Sound level and bass are similar but the battery life is better
Sorry to hear that. I keep these in my car for calls and use for gym/errands. I actually ran over one of the buds accidentally (hectic day) and it still works asides from the double tap function.
Just ordered another pair, and hopefully you can finagle a replacement situation for yourself!
Did you try leaving the buds in the case but sliding the case open? Usually it starts trying to pair or become discoverable then, at least it did for me. I didn't need to press the button on the back at all. Although it acted weird and showed me multiple devices I could pair with until I updated the firmware on the app.
Maybe try doing a reset, and leave the buds in the case to pair then

To reset your Soundcore Liberty Air 2, place both earbuds in the charging case and keep the lid open. Then press and hold the button on the back of the case for 10 seconds until the LED indicators on the earbuds flash red three times. This will reset the earbuds and clear any previous pairing information.
