Great price on a beautiful guitar, I'm just not sure about the narrow tall frets as Im used to medium jumbo. Does anyone who has played both care to compare?
I'd like to know too, but I think we'd have to play one tbh. Or, drop another grand on an Ultra.

I have both and was struggling to articulate, Googled to see if anyone else felt like I did, and this person/post feels EXACTLY how I do:

I like having both available to noodle on... unlike a tele I just picked up with a 7.25" radius neck (my first), which I thought wouldn't be that big of a deal to get used to... WRONG lol. Still have to work on getting used to the small radius and I dunno if I ever will unless I can make my fingers lose weight... but going between narrow tall and medium jumbo for me got pretty easy pretty quickly as I have already been working on a lighter touch anyway, and the narrow talls reinforce that which to me is a bonus.
Thanks for the reply, I have a relatively light touch so I may like these frets even better.

I know that I've tried the Pro II at guitar center in the past and I don't remember any complaints about how the frets felt, but reading the specs has made me second guess myself since it was so long ago. I may have to head back and try another one.

Wow, I bought this for $1200 last year. Prices really have come down! Absolutely one of my favorite guitars.
And the US dollar has gone down another 10% since then! Just gotta decide between this guitar or buying more Bitcoin for my offspring to fund their empire

Intermittent fasting, a keto diet, or going no alcohol could help your fingers

NFTs might have a higher return... now looks like the right time to buy the dip.

I have both. Right now I prefer the narrow talls. They are just so fun to play on.

Lucky me pulled the trigger last week... Other than the fact that I wasted $100, the thing that gets me is the amount of surface scratches and swirl marks on the guitar. At this price point, I was expecting more. Anyone else experience this as well?

Might have been a demo unit?

Heres' an excellent breakdown of all the different fret sizes. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one bc the deal is slick AF, even if there are some micro swirl blemishes with the finish.

May depend on your frame of reference. I played vintage frets for 30 years and found the narrow tall to be a revelation. I LOVE them. Jumbo frets feel "off" to me by comparison. But if you love jumbo frets, maybe the narrow tall will feel off to you. Head out to a store and play one for a little while before deciding!

This is a fantastic deal. I don't love the color, but am very tempted anyhow. 1 of my all time favorite guitars was an American Pro in Olympic White that I stupidly sold.

3rd guitar in a month WTH am I doing lol. Aerodyne, ultra tele, now this. Time for a Slickdeals break.

Awesome deal, called a local guitar shop to see if they would price match (they did the ultra tele 1499 deal), they wouldn't, told me it was below their cost.

I hear ya. I'm currently torn between this or the Aerodyne SSS after biting on the Vintera 60s mod tele.
