I have this piano, absolutely love it. It's my first so I don't have much to compare to, but I know I wanted full action keys on this. I'm replying to this thread so people can know a huge tip.

The BEST thing to pair with this Piano, for cheap, is the set of 2.1 Klipsch PC speakers that goes on sale for 50$ often on this site. It takes this piano with mediocre sound, to a room shattering, bass pumping(as wanted) masterpiece of a piano. Quite awesome.

This is a better deal piano wise, but the stand, bench are low quality...either option is fine because you will need years before you out grow...also look at Facebook marketplace..I got a p45 with the wooden stand for 150..lot of people quit

Looking for a beginner kit to learn piano. Any reason not to get this kit? I was looking at the fp 10 that costco offers but this seems like a better deal.

This is a better deal piano wise, but the stand, bench are low quality...either option is fine because you will need years before you out grow...also look at Facebook marketplace..I got a p45 with the wooden stand for 150..lot of people quit

you think there will be a better deal for the piano only? i can collect the bench, etc. over time. been waiting on this fp30x model for quite some time now

This is a pretty good deal for the fp30x with all these accessories included. Good low cost to start. I agree tho the stand and bench in the Costco deal are better so if you are concerned with aesthetics that may be better. I think both the 10x and 30x play and sound similar.

I doubt it, so I would get this if you know your models. And even then you can sell off the rest of the kit, so it's safe buy

For beginners a 61 key is sufficient.

The fp10 or casio ct-x700 would be my choice.

We started with the yamaha ez300. It has been a big hit and I'd recommend that as well.

I have this piano and don't regret it one bit. If you have no other accessories, and even if you did, this price is still good. I paid this price without any accessories several months ago, but I already had a very nice bench and I was looking for a more upgraded stand and pedals so I also went that route. I can't speak for the fp10, but the fp30x has excellent sound. I am more of no frills, but via the app you can change your instrument settings with no issues, the 30 and 90 allow to change settings via the onboard display, but I don't care about that. It has a fantastic weighted feel, so if you're use to a real piano then the key action won't disappoint. If you're coming from a synthesizer or basic keyboard your may feel frustrated with the key action, but you'll only be strengthening your hands by using the roland. Just a heads up, the bluetooth connectivity only allows you to connect your phone or tablet to the piano, but will NOT connect to wireless headphones for listening. However, being that you can connect your phone/table to it, you can play something on your device and it will broadcast via piano speakers in case you want to do some kind of play along duet or video lessons

I was looking through this deal and then went to their website. I saw that they had an extremely high discount on a piano called Alesis Prestige 88-Key Digital Piano. I was wondering why that piano was 60% off and less expensive than this one. Would that be the best option or I am missing something? I really want to learn piano and I have been looking for the best deal to buy. I don't want to make the wrong choice so I was looking for any opinions I could get. Money is a big thing for me so it is hard for me to go for it.

Roland l, Yamaha, and kawaii are kind of the standard for digital pianos. Everything else seems to be a gamble in terms of quality and features. I've personally never heard of Alesis but maybe others here have.

I picked up my kid the Yamaha EZ300 that has keys that light up and walks you through how to play certain things. For a child, I would wholeheartedly recommend something like that for a first piano/keyboard.

For others, this and the FP10 are terrific choices.

The only one most probably recommend under a grand is the Kawai ES120.

Roland FP-E50 is only $899, has the same action as the FP-30x and FP-60x, and crushes the ES120 on features. (PS I'm a Kawai fanboy and paid over 2 grand just for the VPC1 controller but I recognize a steal when I see one)
