There's a common misconception about resistance levels on rowing machines. I see people putting Concept machines to max at the gym all the time.

These are not weight training machines! If you want strength training, do it on the strength rowing machines with weight plates. If you are rowing on this machine with a resistance level higher than 5 out of 10, you're probably doing it wrong! You should be able to row for 30 minutes at the resistance you choose, with around 20-25 strokes per minutes and maintain a decent heart rate, not going over 80% max or so, depending on your goals.

I would only buy if I needed the endorphins that kick in when you buy something you think you're going to use, but never but never actually end up using Smilie

Regular price is actually about $299. The one for $597 is with the 22" screen included.

Giving it a shot. 90 day free return to walmart stores, if any of the problems mentioned with the app or resistance are an issue I'll just return it.

Seemed like these were selling for $400 for a while on the Echelon site, no longer on the site, but saw through an old search result.

This is the "Echelon Row SPORT" model, not to be confused with the Echelon Row model.
Some of the videos on the Walmart page show "Row Sport-s" but I think that is the one with the screen included, which this is not.

for rowing machine, this one has a lot better review for only $50 more. can i trust the reviews on walmart website? this brand in general has better reviews (for other equipments too). but i feel too good to be true....

I bought this earlier today and got a confirmation of delivery for 12/22. Got a text a couple hours later that it will arrive today(FAST DELIVERY!). I got the rower and assembled it. Gave it a go with the Qdomyoszwift app so didn't have to use the echelon app. The resistance on this rower is not the best but if you are using it more for cardio it should be okay. It is on the lighter side and more for beginners in my opinion. Don't get me wrong this machine will definitely get your heart rate up when doing it for a period of time. I am going to use it for part of my HIIT interval training days. It's good enough for the meantime and doesn't break the bank.

Need an app. There is no screen or indicators. Must use a phone or tablet with an app. The echelon app sucks. I use qz fitness and love it.
