If you are into VR, Meta is likely a much safer bet than Sony for current let one the future.
If there's some "real games" for PSVR that are exclusives that you're really wanting to play then sure or if you have money to burn get it but if not, research both before you buy.
I feel like since I already have a PS5 this is probably the best choice for me.
Lots of people mentioning Metaquest is in a healthier spot due to sales is valid but keep in mind after a couple of years both will be obsolete/replaced with a newer version or a completely different VR headset anyway.
Just depends on if and what you want to drop $500 on for maybe 3 years of entertainment.

Anyway, at full price I was definitely hesitant and tried finding reasons not to keep it. But I have been absolutely loving Grant Turismo 7, Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4.
I knew I would love the RE VR games bc I've been following the franchise since I was a kid. I unexpectedly got sucked into GT7 (I've never played other racing games except Mario Kart. Which is barely comparable) And now I've been putting way more hours into GT7 VR than the RE VR games.
At $100 off I would absolutely jump on this. (Obviously, this advice would vary from person to person. Just my own opinion.)

Second, you're wrong. PSVR2 is crap. No support. Quest just got a GOTY contender with Asgard's Wrath 2. Reviews are off the charts. It scored higher than any game on PSVR2, and it's not even close. If you're a VR enthusiast PSVR2 should be the LAST device you consider. No Half Life game, No Asgard's Wrath game. You get crappy spin offs like the Horizon game, not TRUE game experiences. More like on rails mini games and crap like that.
Do not buy a PSVR2. It is the worst VR device. Absolute trash.
