We don't know the price of 4080 Super, it may end up with same 4080 msrp $1199 and 4080 move down a tier. Or it could be $999 if nvidia accept 4080's lukewarm sales. Even if 4080 Super end up $999, it only has 5% more cuda cores so performance difference with 4080 still negligible and 4070 Ti super has 10% less cuda cores to begin with. so either way, 4080 for $899 still a decent price consider it's rivals are 7900XT for $800 and 7800XTX around $900, and for the last year, DLSS 3 frame generation did prove it's worthiness in new games.
Knowing Nvidia, their infinite greed, and gamers pure idiocy to buy anything shoved down their stupid throats, it's probably approximately eleventy bagillion dollars.

If anyone is planning on getting a 4070 Ti, wait one month for the 4070 Ti Super card.

It will have 16GB VRAM.

If considering, grab a bunch of discounted GameStop gift cards. Makes deal much more slick. Otherwise, wait for Super announcement next month or better yet, 5000 series at end of next year.

Pay the extra 100, get 7900 xtx with 24 gb of vram. No regrets. Card handles anything. Don't pay the nvidia tax. It's not worth it
It's called the "no frame stutter" tax actually

Gamestop charged me twice when trying "place order" with authorization holds on Amex, but no emails, no order confirmations. Caveat emptor.

They're clearing out inventory at low prices to make room for the "super" models coming in less than a month. Nobody is going to pay $1200 for a 4080 when the 4080 Super will be at $1000.

I own a 7900 xtx, no frame stutter. Is this a global game thing? Or game specific??

It's hilarious how much self rationalization exists with all these expensive cards. Once you buy it, you are dead set on defending your overpriced obsolete purchase. The dick measuring contest never ends. Great for sales though.

Wait for Blackwell (50-Series). Unless you jump to a 4090, it's not worth it performance wise from a 3080.
Personally, I would skip at least a generation on GPUs. Even generational improvements like GTX jumping to RTX didnt make me ditch my 1080 easilly.
