Luigi's mansion 3 is an awesome game. My son and I spent hours on this game. Honestly it was more fun than Mario Wonder.

Luigi mansion 3 doesn't start off co-op. You need to get the goo ability very early in the game, like 10 minutes of play time. Just FYI if you're expecting to jump right in with 2 player co-op it doesn't work.

Luigi's mansion 3 is a spectacular game. Kids had a lot of fun on it and there's a lot that kept them busy to find other Easter eggs

Dang, these used to be cheaper at $29 in the past. Really want to buy Mario Maker for my son but know this will be cheaper at some point in the near future.

Super Mario Maker 2 kind of does. But the problem is that since the levels are user created, most of them aren't designed for 2 players so it's very "janky"… fun, but janky

Yes, but you can't start coop until you play 1 player for a while, but not super long. Super fun with younger kids as you lead with Luigi and Gooigi is forced to follow. 10/10 for playing a game with your 4 year old.

Every time I see Yoshi's crafted world on sale I make sure to comment on how wonderful it is as a couch coop game for young gamers. My daughter and I started playing this when she was two and have sunk 100+ hours into it. Excellent game. Looks great and the coop mechanics are perfect for a young gamer. You can pick up the other player and carry them through tough sections. It's also very difficult to die. The only other game that I've played that is as good for couch coop for young gamers is Sackboy: A Big Adventure, which I also love. I'm always looking for more recommendations, though.

I played it with my son too! He cried when we finished it because he liked playing it with me so much.
