I showed up today to pick up the order early because I wasn't sure if it would still be in stock during my pickup time tomorrow. One other guy I had never seen before was there with a flatbed cart. There were a couple of TVs left. We helped each other load our carts with our separate TVs. It is gigantic!
I checked out before the other guy and went out to my car. I opened the back hatch and realized it would not fit unless I unbox the TV. As I was doing so, a couple of different people walked by me and asked if I needed help. I wasn't sure yet if I needed help, and so I told them that I could probably take care of it.
Then, the other guy from the store that I had helped load his flatbed walked past me and said "Hey, if you want, I can load yours into my truck, follow you to your house, and drop it off. " Wow! I had no idea someone would be so kind. I told him that I lived farther away than he probably would want to go. He said he lived in a town that was only about 10 or 15 minutes from where I lived. And he said he could help me.
I said okay, we loaded both of the TVs into his truck, he followed me to my house, we unloaded mine, and then he went on his way. I was so surprised how kind he was, and how nice it was for him to take time to do this.
People are really genuinely kind sometimes.
For skeptics who might say I was too trustworthy: I had his phone number and license plate. And I just got a good vibe from him. I hope he realized what a kind act that was. It makes me want to pay it forward.
If I'm not going OLED, I'd rather have a VA panel over an ADS panel. Lastly, the 2023 QN90C utilizes an ADS panel.

Long post, but lots of info for those interested in still trying to score this deal.
I ended up buying at a store with the $2297 price (Springfield, IL) and immediately driving to a store with the $999 price and did a return/rebuy. I had the TV with me in case they required I bring it in. Took about 2-1/2 hour of my day and $12 in gas, but totally worth it. Here are the steps I took:
1) purchased last night online at store with stock for $2297 (buy in person instead of online if you can, see #6 below)
2) went to store today to pick up after getting the text. I went inside to check stock as online said 1 left after I bought one last night. I saw these on Monday morning and my store had 4 in the box. They still had 3 NIB in the store + display, I saw mine in the cart by the pickup door, so online stock did not match stock in the store.
3) went back to my van, they came out with TV, and I loaded it with help of store employee in my Pacifica Hybrid minivan -- laid it flat, screen up (no way it would not stand upright) ... it *barely* fit going straight in, even a slight tilt and it wouldn't go in (I had to instruct the young store employee to bring his end around and go straight in the van)
4) immediately drove to Decatur store which online showed no stock but had the $999 price online
5) I arrived at 4:30 and I was the only one at the customer service counter
6) I said I bought a TV which is now on sale and I wanted to get the sale price, and I didn't know if they could credit me the difference or I should return and rebuy it or what. She found out I bought it online and she wasn't sure if she could give me the lower price. She checked with her manager over the phone and apparently was told no, that they couldn't. After getting off the phone she wanted to give me a number from corporate to call. I knew this was probably going to kill the deal, so I didn't even get the number.
7) I said I have the TV with me and at the $2297 price I wasn't interested anymore asked to make sure I could bring it in and return it. CSR said "yes"
8) I then asked how come I can't just return and rebuy this, because they would just resell it anyway at the sale price
9) that obviously made sense to her, and she asked for my order number and did the return of the TV (with it still in the van) and credited me the purchased price and said it might take a couple days to credit to my card
10) then she rang me up at $999.91 + tax and I paid with credit card. She said to save that new receipt because I would need that receipt if I needed to return it later. DONE! Deal scored!
So I would recommend buying the TV at the $2297 price in person instead of online because it seemed to hang them up a bit that I bought online, since Sam's has a strict no match policy. If I had a physical receipt instead of an online order/receipt, the return/rebuy might have gone quicker.
Also, for those asking if it will fit in any type of SUV, I can give a pretty confident "No." The box dimensions are: 84" x 48-1/2" x 9-1/2". The 48-1/2" is the killer and won't fit in the openings of most SUV's, at least not the ones that have been named earlier in this thread. And 84" is loooooong. I had the middle seats out and the rear seats folded in the floor, and with the TV pushed all the way up to the front seats only had a few inches to spare in the back (Pacifica is a great hauler).
Edit: updated dimensions: It is 9-1/2" thick, not 8-1/2.

- Went to Auburn Hills store that had them in stock at full price (and at least 6-7 more on the floor), and tried to talk them into price matching. No Go. But the girl at the counter was pretty cool, so I asked her "unofficially" if I bought it here at full price and took it to the store (Roseville) that was discounted, would they likely price match? She told me not to ask for a price match (as there are some loopholes and things with those), but she told me to ask to return it and rebuy it and it should work. I thanked her and loaded one onto the cart
- So I bought it at 7pm, loaded in the truck, and drove to the Roseville store, with 10 mins to spare before they closed (BTW - it fits nicely laying flat on it's back between the wheel wells of a 2022 F-150 Supercrew, and length wise the box was a few inches shorter than the length of the truck bed & tailgate with the tailgate down, so no overhang!)
- Never took the tv out of the truck, just went to customer service with receipts
- At first she didn't understand what I wanted to do, and told me that I had to return it at the store where I bought it, as it's not their stock
- I told her that their price is double what hers is, which is why I want to buy it from her store. And if I couldn't return and rebuy, I would just like to return it. I think that made her realize it might not be worth pushing back, honestly, as it would be too much hassle.
- She called her manager, and her manager just said to do it (not sure if it was a long day, or maybe he just didn't want to deal with the hassle 5 mins before close), but it didn't take a lot of persuading from her to get him to agree
- She started trying to do it, and even scanning off my receipt from the other store, it wanted to process the return portion of the transaction for only $999 instead of the $2400, because that's what their computer said the price was for their store. So she had to call her manager over
- Thought I might be shut down at that point, but he came over, and said it was odd the computer was trying to do that, and they would just manually override it
- He was even shocked how much of a price difference there was. He asked how did I find out about it. I mentioned a friend bought one from here at the $999 price, and when I bought the same tv for full price, he told me about what he paid (not sure if they believed that or not, but it worked in the moment)
- Eventually they got everything correct with the prices, but then they noticed that at the $2400 price, it included the free 5 year warranty ($139 value), and they told me that the discounted $999 didn't include the warranty for free, since it was a clearance price. They said if I wanted the warranty, I could add it on for $99 (it's only $99 since it's under $1000). "Ok, I can live with that! Yes please."
When all was said and done, I walked out with roughly a $1300+ credit back on my credit card, and paid $1098.91 + tax out the door, and never even had to remove it from the truck.
Thanks OP! And thanks to the people who recommended the buy at one store and return/rebuy at another store idea. I was looking at the 80+ LED TV's just the other day, but didn't want to spend the $2000+k I was seeing for the good ones. And then this happens, and 1.5hrs of time/effort, saved me $1300.
