Staff already marked this "Popular" but wow you guys were not kidding about the reviews. 1-stars are beating out everything else.

This one is my favorite:

I'm guessing it costs more than I think, but why don't they just make plastic things like this? I'm not talking about thin plastic, I mean 1/4 inch thick plastic with doors that use metal hinges and screws to hold it all together. Seems like a great way to sequester used plastic since recycling it is a lie. Mixing plastics and molding it, throwing a new coat of paint on it has to be better if not cheaper than all this particle board crap.

It says "Laminated particleboard" in the description, that tells you all you need to know.

I bought one of these years ago. Looks exactly the same style other than the color. It's still doing okay, I wouldn't say junk.

However:

• It is probably smaller than you think for a storage cabinet. (I made this mistake)
• Its easy to assemble it slightly off so the doors don't line up well (still have a little gap on mine)
• Any "sturdiness" of it relies solely on tiny brads punched through a condensed cardboard style back. The tension of this thin back piece is what stabilizes it. (That's the case with all of these cheaper bookshelves/cabinets)

They do make thick plastic cabinets with doors and hinges. For example:
