Note -- $1449 for everyone else. $250 off. Total members get the extra $50.

It's not a great deal -- Apple Store Refurb on this model is $1439.

I could see even better fire sales on this model the closer we get to March. The issue is whether this config, which is hard to get at the big boxes in any color other than midnight, will be available or similarly discounted.

The advantage of purchasing via BB vs Apple store refurb is that BB often gives better trade in value than Apple (yesterday BB offered $75 more than apple for example for my wife's intel MBA) and you can get some decent deals on open box models when BB has a sale. For example, some of the open box prices are ~$1300. Thanks to the OP for posting this. It is $50 cheaper than yesterday's price.

Weirdly, the OB prices went UP $50 from yesterday on this model. Very weird. Still a good deal on OB.

Also, I strangely have gotten better trade-in values from Apple, at least for an apple silicon MBP. Maybe they hose on the high volume intel MBAs.

This deal is now $1350 for Plus/Total members. That's a fair price for this machine, and an excellent entry point for the 14" MBP chassis, even with the underspec ram. OB prices are also floating around $1250.

However, you can still find M1 Pros as factory refurb (and even a few new ones floating around) for less than this. I think that would still be a better bet just because of the ram. The M3 chip is no slouch it will be hobbled in some tasks by the underspec ram on this model.

Where do you see $1350? I see $1,450 and $1,399 when you add the $50 membership fee.

Yeah if you have to pay the fee, it's a wash. And $1400 for that machine is criminal, when OBs of the M3 pro are down to $1620 in silver. But open box prices are for everyone, and I saw a few as low as $1220 -- that's on par with the $1199 8/512 MBA 13/15 M2 deal now. At that price, it's worth it if you were willing to buy the MBA anyway, which means you're ok with the paltry ram. However, $100 more could get you a 16gb version of the MBA in open box and that might be a better overall experience. I would pay the $100 for more ram.

Agree. I got a MacBook Pro m1 16/512 16" for $1400 at Amazon. I was lucky to get it Apple certified refurbished sealed with a year of Apple warranty and option to add apple care.
