AMD has better multithreaded performance but worse single threaded performance.

AMD: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu....en+5+5500U
Intel: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu....5U&id=4754

On average, Intel seems to be a bit better due to stronger integrated graphics: https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-com...en-5-5500u

Also, the Intel variant gets wifi6, while AMD is at wifi5 based on the previous deal for the same laptop: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=168121699&postcount=49

That's probably what I would get (although I'm not really an expert).

Intel one is better.

The 1215U has significantly higher single thread performance, which is what matters most in daily use like browsing, adobe products, Office, light gaming. The 5500u has better multi-thread, but unless you're doing stuff you know takes advantage of all 6 cores at once, its not that important in this type of laptop (and no running 4 apps at once isnt that). Intel's 64 EU IGP is better than Vega 7 but neither are for medium+ gaming, and has Quicksync for vastly better video encoding. Intel version has better wifi+BT. 1215U is also uses less power.

So between the two, the Intel one is the better option.

That nano review integrated graphic score is completely worthless

120hz screen is really nice. MacBook is $1600 for a 120hz. But damn the 250 nits brightness. Wtf 😳
