I'd say you can get the new service activated in about 40 minutes from the moment you hang up your phone with phone support for cancellation.

Click on agree to terms and click on Accept Offer, first page takes long time to load, after loading, put xbox in cart and get a blank blank screen....
Used the website and it went through first time...In case anyone has the same issue with the app
Does the Disney+ get added to the end of your sub if you currently have one? Anyone know?
Not a bad deal, only $20 more a month than I was paying.

Last night I cancelled our service at 8pm. Throughout the night, I kept trying to register as my partner for a new account. It didn't work because of the pending order (our cancellation) and we couldn't contact CS since it was afterhours. Finally in the morning, we reached a rep but she couldn't find figure out why. She said to wait 24 hours and try placing the order. I called again and another rep was able to see that my pending cancellation was stuck and she would have it push it through. That call took over an hour but it was finally done.
While we were able to sign up, we weren't getting he mobile discount and found out via chat is because we weren't the primary account holder for our Verizon mobile. It was a shared family plan so at this point we just signed up for the 1gig with all the additional below.
• $100 Verizon Gift Card
• Xbox Series X.
• $200 Amazon.com Gift Card
• MoCA Ethernet Adapter.
• $50 Xbox eGift Card.
• Additional $50 Verizon Gift Card (Offered by the Chat Agent)
Overall, I think the people who got in early had an easier process, this was too much of a hassle and I will probably downgrade after meeting the minimum requirement. Also, there was a lack of clarification regarding the mobile discount which you need to be the primary holder. That could be my fault for not doing proper research. Goodluck everyone!
Thanks, I can do $180 days. WIll do 4 months to be sure.

Is this the right way to do it? Will there be issues?

Nope its 6 months actually.
"We reserve the right to charge back the amount of the Gift Card if eligible service is canceled w/in 180 days. Other Gift Card terms and conditions apply. One offer per eligible Verizon account."
Will be interested to see what happens when everyone tries to downgrade their service. I am hoping they can get me back to my original plan of at least 500mbps for $65.
Optimum 300mbps is $44 and Verizon is $49. That is the only thing I am thinking about in the down the line.
