I'd say you can get the new service activated in about 40 minutes from the moment you hang up your phone with phone support for cancellation.

if you dont mind the hassle, another internet provider in your area is likely to offer a sweet deal similar to this one just to get you in. P.S you can cancel after 6 months and keep the freebies.
Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat.
My local optimum provider here in NYC offers 1gig fiber for $80 and $200 of freebies.

For people that signed up online did you get charged the $99 setup fee? What is the angle by having people sign up online? I'm not seeing the angle. Thanks.
Last night I cancelled our service at 8pm. Throughout the night, I kept trying to register as my partner for a new account. It didn't work because of the pending order (our cancellation) and we couldn't contact CS since it was afterhours. Finally in the morning, we reached a rep but she couldn't find figure out why. She said to wait 24 hours and try placing the order. I called again and another rep was able to see that my pending cancellation was stuck and she would have it push it through. That call took over an hour but it was finally done.
While we were able to sign up, we weren't getting he mobile discount and found out via chat is because we weren't the primary account holder for our Verizon mobile. It was a shared family plan so at this point we just signed up for the 1gig with all the additional below.
• $100 Verizon Gift Card
• Xbox Series X.
• $200 Amazon.com Gift Card
• MoCA Ethernet Adapter.
• $50 Xbox eGift Card.
• Additional $50 Verizon Gift Card (Offered by the Chat Agent)
Overall, I think the people who got in early had an easier process, this was too much of a hassle and I will probably downgrade after meeting the minimum requirement. Also, there was a lack of clarification regarding the mobile discount which you need to be the primary holder. That could be my fault for not doing proper research. Goodluck everyone!
