Chat rep said I am eligible. Wanted to add the line but I am hesitant. I may chat later to get a second "opinion" from a another rep (55+ magenta plan here, only 2 paids lines) .
I'd get a 2nd opinion. While some of the reps try to be helpful, they are often clueless and are pbly on some sales quota they have to meet.
Straightening out their error is usually a long painful process, with them hoping that you will just accept it and go away. They are very polite which is nice.

Yes, X Tfoce said I am not eligible. not worth for me at this point.
Quit being a hater. I've done 3 of these before and never had any issues. 10 lines on Simple Choice, 3 of them free, $130/month.
You may not have had an issue, many of us had.
They are a PIA to get resolved. Thet credit you, telling you next month should be fine - it usually isn't. Been there done that.
I can't say I'm not tempted; I just don't need it badly enough to go through the hassle of 6 months' worth of call to get it resolved.
If you do it at costco do they waive the $35 activation fee?
Yes, they do, disregarding that Tmobile officials store rep told me that they wouldn't be able to.
I did it yesterday and got this message this morning:
T-Mobile: Congrats on your new discount! You will receive your Line Discount ID230289 as long as you maintain eligibility.
Put your auto pay method to a prepaid debit card with at least a dollar on it and set a recurring calendar reminder to manually pay your bill with a credit card. Annoying, but it works. They are never getting my bank info with all of their breaches.
I'm still using a CC card - no additional fees.
I keep waiting to get dinged.
