Do you have any other free lines?
No, it's the first and only one free line, that I added to my account.

If I do qualify for a free line, does anybody know if I can port a number from another carrier into this free line and still have it be free?

Has anyone on had luck on Magenta 1.0? I've called twice and have heard both times that the promo ID is for a free Iphone, Samsung or Pixel device on a new line. Not the free line offer that some others have had success with.

If I only have the 5g internet service, it is still possible to be eligible for this free line?

I just checked with t-mo app chat and the rep said I am eligible.

I am on a Simple Choice 6GB plan with 2 paid line, 2 free line and 1 free tablet line.

Can i go to costco and a line to avoid the connection fee. Will the promo automatically apply to the new line or do i need to spell it out clearly to the tmo costco rep?

Edit: looks like the rep i am chatting with is willing to waive the device connection fee.

It is not 100% free though. They credit you back whatever the line charge is but not the fee or tax so there is still a net cost of 2-3 dollars.

Do you already need a voice line to quality? I have two hotspot lines currently but a voice line with someone else.

*edit* Oh I see that it must be postpaid and I believe hotspots are prepaid. I think I just answered my own question.

Yes, you can. You won't lose your "free line" status.

I would get the free line, wait some days for the "free line" discount to settle in. Then port-in your number to the new free line phone number.

Reached to tforce on x. Mentioned both the internal document # and the promotion name as well as my segments need to be checked to see if I'm eligible. We'll see what they say. I currently have 8 lines for $100 a month.
Boy, you have a great deal. I have 5 phone lines and one tablet for $100.
It's so old of a plan that they just threw in unlimited data at some point.
Mine is before Simply Choice one.
Hope it works for you.

I remember from the last byod free line that someone mentioned you cannot ever do a line promo with this line, otherwise it becomes a paid line. Not sure how true it is. I guess the hassle would be trying to remember which line is byod and which isn't.
We have a free line on our account for 7 years now, and did a free phone 2 years ago on that line. The line is still free, nothing changed.

If you change to a different type of plan, it can remove the free line. For example, having a simple choice plan with a free line and migrating to a new plan could drop the offer for a free simple choice line. That makes sense, because you're changing the service plan and your previous offer was not for a free line on that new service plan.

There are different types of free lines. I was referring to the byod free line which is what this deal is. Your free line from 7 years ago is not a byod line since they didn't have byod free lines back then.

Your 2nd statement is not correct. I had 3 free lines on SC that remained free when I moved over to Magenta max and is still free now that I am on Go5g Plus.

Being on Magenta isn't an indication that you're likely eligible for the free line; read the link on the first post and have a rep check if your accounts "segments" page. To switch a paid line onto the free line, I believe the steps are for you to (a) get the free line, (b) wait 1 year, (c) port out your paid line number to some other carrier, and (d) port that number back onto the free line. Historically, free line offers required a minimum of 2 paid lines; not sure if this has changed with the recent free line offers.

My Tmobile rep said I'm qualified but it won't start 10 days from now. Is that true? I asked her to notate my account.

Simple choice and informed not eligible right now. Maybe eligible later. Still new promotion. Apparently.
