UPDATE: The call center rep did some research and called me back. She said the promo was in an older system they don't really use, but she was able to apply it.

For my understanding, if this works, will I get an extra line on the same plan I currently have? So say if I have essentials, would I get a new line with the same 50g 5g, unlimited txt unlimited calls?

That's what the rep told me. I thought it was "just" a voice line, but she said it includes everything the rest of my lines have.

This is what the rep on TMO mobile app chat said

Yeah I tried multiple CS rep and chat. All said my account is ineligible nor can they add the promo to my account as it's been happening with others. Bummer.

I advise anyone who had an overseas rep "add" this promo/free line, even though not qualified, to not use the line as a precaution so that you can NOINSTALL later on if there is an issue.

This will preserve any older free lines that have a 1 year no cancellation stipulation.

Agreed 110%! I recommend calling during 8am-5pm to guarantee a US based rep. Outsourced reps have almost always been wrong and never follow through such as never giving a follow up call.
