They gave me the free line but it wasn't the promo 230289, they give me ( This one's on us (AAL additional lines) work for me, i paid for the sim activation though.
Tforce rep on FB messenger added the free line for me. Could not get fee waived. Got a notice that the line does still have monthly regulatory fees. Is this correct?
that never ends well. they don't have to honor what an employee says. there are a lot of dumb employees who have no clue what they are talking about and spit out incorrect information.
It ended well for me last BF when an in store employee said I was eligible for a pixel 7 for $100 with trade in of my device
I am in magenta 55 and this was for max customers not 55+
I wrote to the BBB and they honored the trade in
I contacted T-force to see if I qualified, and somebody responded in unusually fast 4 minutes saying that I don't, but asking if I was interested in the BOGO offer.
I wonder if he didn't even bother to check, and wanted to make a different sale.
30 min later I tried thru the APP and got same response, so I guess I'm out
(ONE Plan 9 Lines)
I have ONE plan with 2 paid and 3 free line (2 free from 2016, the very first free line promotion, and 1 from last Dec 2022).
I tried the same as well, iphone test and TMobile app, both said only BOGO, no BYOD.
Two paid SWAC lines with one free line from the promo before last and I got nowhere with 611 chat.... Agent seemed fixated on what device I was bringing and trading it in versus just telling me if my account was eligible. Weirdest chat ever.

Agreed. Legere was pretty incredible. T-Mobile got everything it wanted, it got sprint, it got additional bandwidth, it got market share so now it operates no differently than the other big boys. Customers are no longer the priority, profits are.
I've been looking at switching to Verizon for their offers: Verizon Zundays and free Dizney+ subscription.
This is after they said I would get the line in 48-72 hours (which didn't happen). Upon following up they don't have any free BYOD promos...

Didn't qualify. On a Military One plan (4 lines for $100).

Hi there and Happy Friday! I'm Lisa, and I'm your go to T-Mobile specialist. Thanks for partnering with us on Social Media Care. I understand you're looking at adding a potential new line. You're in the perfect spot for all your T-Mobile needs.
The holidays are the perfect time to keep a lookout for offers. I was able to dig in on your account and I found that there is not a free line offer on this account. If you would like to activate a line today we can get you set up for that and check on any device you may want. With your current plan, ONE Military, a new line would be $10/15 (with/without autopay discount). I can also look for device promotions if you would want to take a peek at those together. There's some goodies! Did you want to check on device offers?
Magenta line with 5 paid lines and 4 free lines. Called and provided promo code to representative who stated I were qualified but kept offering BOGO line promotion. I kept declining the bogo offer and asking for free line only. Representative waived activation fee without me asking.
