I bought this kettle around the same time last year at the same price, thinking/wishing its interior that touches water would be plastic-free.
Like most electric kettles I've come across, this one has that long stick-like part inside (I'm not sure what its function is). This piece is made of hard plastic. I was very disappointed.
Quite a few differences

different tea requires different temperature, temperature adjustment is a must. you also want a gooseneck kettle while you at it.
if it must be Bodum and must be around 30 dollar
i'd go with

imaging you are pouring into a small opening, with a short spout, you are required to be quite close to the container, and if the container is shallow, you have to be extra careful not to pour at too deep of angle to avoid splash or spillage, and you would often position yourself behind the kettle such that it is quite inconvenient to do so (and to see), and pouring with a short spout slowly may result in water sipping from the spout due to capillary action.
this is especially true when you doing pour over coffee, as it require both the precision and accuracy in brewing stages, you need to see where you pouring and be accurate both time wise and volume wise, it is simply not possible with a short spout.
i have a kettle like this, it is used for heating up a large volume of water for cooking.
Stainless steel, plastic, silicone
Does any part of the plastic piece come in contact with the boiling water?
bodum also has terrible customer service and return policies, just a heads up.
also has a plastic piece on the inside. gotta love making a bit of plastic soup every time i heat water.
wish i didn't get it to be honest.
