Just a heads up, while working at my last job, we needed to source a bunch of smartwatches and we met with Amazfit. They ghosted us when we asked about privacy and data retention. All of the data going through Amazfit devices goes through and is stored in China.
Got this at the last time at same price.
Pretty good sports watch, and battery is at 37% after 8 days basic use. Zepp app is useful.
The problem is it keeps getting disconnected from app and I stop receiving notifications. Also step, heartrate tracking is incorrect.

I had the first Bip. For a first time fitness watch, I thought it was great. GPS isn't the best and can be spotty with heavy trees though. I moved over to Garmin since then (2021) but I assume the 3 is still a good starter. The app is much improved I know since when I used it, very buggy. If you want to get into a fitness watch (tracking steps, runs, walks etc) but don't want to spend $200+ on a good one, start here. It'll get you moving and give you a good trial run for the ins and outs.

They'll never bring back the transreflective screens Frown
I have the original Bip S, and that thing has insane battery life.
I use it for it's always on screen( not sure if this Bip can do it), and it can easily last a month plus.

But alas, the slow grind of technology waits for no one

Just buy a cheap off brand. They'll do pretty much the same thing for about $20.

It only stays connected if you're in Bluetooth range of you're phone.

So, like every other piece of electronic gear and app out there? Got it, thanks for the education lesson.

I am just happy Chinese people care about when I bike ride and what my heart rate is.

If you don't think someone is itching to look at your heart rate when you look at a particular product or news article, you aren't seeing the big picture.

Ordered this watch when the deal was posted first time a coupler of weeks ago and Walmart screwed up the delivery big time. Was gonna cancel for refund, but they offered me a $10 discount coupon so I reordered and this time delivery worked as expected. It's a decent watch for the price.
Pros: battery life (though I still have my OG Bip which lasted seemingly 2 months on a single charge), pairs easily.
Cons: sluggish wrist wake up response and lack of sensitivity settings, doesn't seem to sync with phone's DND schedule, ho-hum selection of free watchfaces (though better than Wyze) and small low res font.
For $25 this will do.

I must admit that I know almost nothing about these watches, but I have been curious about them, for years. So, I'd like to ask, can this watch (accurately) track sleep activity? Specifically, can it track how much sleep, and how much deep/restful sleep, that a person gets? And can it track your heart rate and/or count steps, when exercising/walking?

For $35, I am tempted to check it out; but, if it will not actually do any of the functions that I would like to use it for, I would not want to waste the money on it.

If someone would like to reply and share some helpful feedback with me, I would really appreciate it.

Edit: If this is not a good watch to use, for the purposes that I mentioned, could anyone recommend a different watch that would be a good option, that is relatively affordable, in the $40-$100 range?

Also, I realize that it is significantly more expensive (around $300), but, is the Pixel Watch something that works with the things that I mentioned? Or is it for completely different purposes (media consumption, mostly)?

If you're looking for somewhat accurate sleep tracking, you're much better off with an apple watch or an oura ring which is around 80-90% accurate as long as you're not wearing it too loose. Fitness heart tracking and blood oxygen monitoring is pretty decent on most higher end smart watches like fitbit/samsung/google/apple.

I would stay away from most of the lower end smart watches as they're pretty much junk outside of spotty notifications and inaccurate biometrics. They're good with telling the time but that's as far as I would give them credit for.
