This is helpful. I didn't know that all it does is alerts the wallet was detached. I do lose mine time to time so I prefer Airtag type solution

ESR Geo Wallet has full Find My support built in. Unfortunately it uses a proprietary cable to recharge the internal battery.

This is…incorrect. Golden brown has find my, saddle brown does not.

It is not useless though. Mine fell off getting out of my car and fell under it.
I was looking for it hours later and Find My pointed right to my car as the place it was detached.

My friend got an similar type of wallet case from Apple a month ago. The wallet has fallen off numerous times. It has caused her great anxiety while desperately trying to find it. Yes, the iPhone alerts that it was detached, but it only gives a general location. And, it is very difficult to get the credit card out of the wallet without detaching it from the phone. I am trying to convince her that her anxiety is not worth the "cool factor" and to switch to a wallet that is sewn onto the case and has a clasp to keep the cards from falling out.

Sometimes, Apple goes too far in putting form over function.

I have used an Apple wallet for a couple of years now. It has never fallen off once, the magnet is very strong -- at least when used with an official Apple case.

I did try to use it with a different brand case (Bullstrap) and that held on so poorly that I returned the case.

That's the trick, I have an Apple leather case and this exact wallet and the bond is pretty strong and had no issues from the past year or so.

I personally prefer the distilunion wally jr with MagSafe to the Apple wallets, the leather is nicer, it has a pull tab, the magnets seem stronger. I've been using a gray one for over a year with only a normal patina, the Apple ones look terrible and the edges peel after a few months.
