Any feedback on picture and sound quality by anyone who owns one?

I bought the 43 inch model of this tv a couple of weeks ago. It was AWFUL. Seriously, the picture is crap. I returned it and bought a TCL TV instead. I ended up getting the Q5, which is TCL's basic QLED and it's definitely worth the extra money.

I definitely would avoid this TV if you're picky about picture quality. The one I had did this weird little flashing ever few seconds. The picture wasn't clear, looked kind of pixelated and colors weren't good.

Yup. I had a 50" pioneer plasma. Gave it to my in-laws and they still use it. That TV is 15 years old. I wish I hadn't given it away. What a great picture

I got an LG 75 for $649 a few weeks ago. Deals are out there. If you can't afford or won't spend for an LG or Samsung then try one of these cheap brands but make sure you get a solid extended warranty and test your tv asap once it arrives. Even if you're waiting to mount it or something like that open the sucker up and test it just to make sure it's to your satisfaction because sometimes they have issues and also keep in mind that it's always a pain to return these things and to use warranties they're nice to have and if you're saving a lot of money hey but I know for a 65 inch or you can probably Get an LG or Samsung for not that much more than this maybe 500-ish

Doesn't just need to be Samsung or LG. TCL and Hisense have been putting out awesome 4K QLED TVs for much cheaper than those bigger names. I have 3 TCLs in my home along with a Sony OLED. I'm very impressed with my TCLs.

As I think many people know how famous the old plasma TVs were from Pioneer, they left the market a long time ago.

There's actually some irony here though as TCL owns the rights and produces the current Pioneer televisions.

A few years ago a friend said they throwing out an old Pioneer TV as they were getting a new TV which was bigger and lighter in weight. I told him to send me a picture and just as I thought, it was a Pioneer Kuro, the top notch plasma back in its day. I told him the history and value of the TV since it's still working and would take it from him but not before he tried selling it. He listed it on Craigslist and got $500 for it the next day. He still thanks me to this day. Not sure what happened to Pioneer with TVS since those plasma heyday.

I'm sure you're correct but my experience is only with those brands so I don't want to speak on something I'm not aware of the last time I had a TCL I think it was a 43 inch in my shed man cave at my old house and it was fine. I left it there when I sold the house, it never gave me any problems whatsoever, but it was a smaller TV

Pioneer was gutted when the car audio market took a turn. I think they're like "RCA" and "Kodak" now...a marketing company just throws their name on any crap they can get their hands on hoping for a nostalgia sale.

I'm guessing the same thing happened to Pioneer that happened to Nakamichi (used to be uber-expensive top-end gear and is now low-end Chinese crap).
