I think TCL makes them now... the glory days of Pioneer plasma TVs ended almost 15 years ago

Remember when Pioneer was making like the best TVs money could buy? I assume that the brand has been sold to someone for pennies?

This. I used to sell TVs and home theater electronics at Electric Avenue and More. The "service contract/extended warranties" they used to push were -- as best I recall -- 80% pure profit.

I have the 55" version and am very impressed with the picture quality, specially for the price! I stuck a Fire Stick to it and don't leave use the built in OS except when watching local TV. I did put a 5 year warranty plan on it since... well I did not trust a $200 55" TV to last long

Mabey ten years ago or longer i purchased a 32" Pioneer TV via Slickdeals on B.F for 200 bucks. I used it as a monitor/tv. The picture and sound were as good as the 500 dollar 34" Dell I'm looking at now, I up graded, ha, because I wanted a monitor and didn't want to turn it on for every use.

Extended warranties are almost always a bad idea, especially with cheap products. Unless you got a deal on that extra 5 year warranty, you paid over 25% more on the TV for a warranty you'll most likely never need.

I've been on the lookout for a budget, albeit still respectable input lag tv for console use and perhaps even hooking my pc up to it. Despite RTings giving the f30 a very respectable ~10ms input lag on game mode rating in their testing, youtube comments claim it actually has ~34ms or so even in game mode, which made me grimace. Unsure how people are coming up with 34ms when RTings got much lower. TCL 3 series apparently has about ~12ms. Much more expensive LG/Samsung 50-55in have around ~9-10ms input lag on game mode. Unsure what these Pioneer Xumo's input lag is. (edit: found out it's ~14.8ms in game mode) A budget 58in Hisense for only $238 at walmart in their photos claims sub 16ms input lag, not the worst, but meh, could be better.

One I've personally been intrigued by is the budget, yet gamer focused Hisense A7, about ~$268 for a 55in, a 4-5 year addon warranty is about ~$40ish, for $300 all-in you could have a decent enough new tv worryfree for years, I may end up doing that, just waiting until black friday to pull the trigger to see if it goes any lower more than likely. ~10ms input lag on it, comparable to much more expensive LG/Samsungs in the ~$400 price range.

I'm certainly not trying to be a paid esports player lol, but if I can get considerably lower input lag by just doing some researching around, why not lol.

I will say, perhaps ignorance is bliss in my case in regards to picture quality. Never owned, nor personally known anybody with an expensive oled or anything, I even thought the aforementioned cheap walmart 58in hisense for $238 looked absolutely beautiful in person when I went to a buddy's that had one in the living room for a gaming party hangout session. No human perceivable lag in irl usage in super Smash Bros or Mario Cart on the Switch for what it's worth.
