I've been using this blower/vac for 3-5yrs. Still going strong. It can get clogged if I bury the vacuum nossel into a pile of leaves, but it clears or manually clearing is simple. Metal mulching blade is solid and still undamaged. The suction airflow is just right for the debris but won't pick up items that could cause damage. excellant bang for the buck.

Just the vacuum and mulch bag is good enough, or would you rather advise getting the leaf collection system too? Thats additional $50 I believe

I've had this for 6 years and found the leaf collection system to be too much trouble. But so is emptying the small bag. I only use it for cleaning up around bushes where raking or blowing s difficult.

I bought this last year and it's coming handy a few times. I use it to blue leaves, and also to stock the charcoal when I cook on the grill. No complaints here.

Ive had mine for about 3 yrs and really like it. Mine doesnt curve at the end like the one here does. Also its best to use a 12 gauge cord because it wont burn the motor up. The 12 gauge cord is a little heavier but worth it IMO

These are great blowers in an of themselves - nice power and volume, but are really loud - save your ears! It's also quite heavy.

In vacuum mode, this works best on hard pavement. Keep away from sticks thicker than your pinky. If you have a lot of leaves and can keep within 10 feet of a bin, I recommend the leaf collection system with a leaf bin. I wear a dust mask as well, as the mulching gets really dusty after a few minutes.

I don't know if this saves me a lot of time, but it definitely saves my back. I can blow a big pile together, flip the switch, hook up the bag and suck up the pile.

Thanks. I have been looking for 1 with metal blade to mulch leaf for the garden. Just order 1 and plan to use the trash can with wheel instead of the small bag. What is the size of the hose/adapter (3")?

I'm going to guesstimate that I spent an extra three hours this year, divided across two sessions, mowing leaves after I would have stopped mowing grass. Leaves only really collect on one side of our lot. I prefer to side discharge them uphill because I need organic matter in these areas, so it takes longer than mowing grass. It made an incredible amount of dust this year because it was dry ... but you know what happens to leaves when it rains.

Is anyone who isn't bagging firmly convinced that this is better than mowing? I'm a little more worried about the dust bowl and my air filter, oil, and greasable bearings, than my three hours of time.

I got this last big sale, works great. Sucks and blows. I mulch my leaves straight into the lawn. Being corded is only a bit annoying, but it's not like a corded mower or a corded hedge trimmer - walking over and rubbing a leaf blower into the extension cable will cause zero damage. I rather have the lighter leaf blower with a cable than a weaker heavier battery operated unit.
