Might be able to help with a little more insight. What exactly isn't working on them? Does the pilot light but not the burner? Does the pilot not light at all? I have to clean the thermal coupler and the peizo igniter once a year. I just use a Dremel with a softer metal brush. I have read of people having to take them apart and clean all the tubing inside as they get gunked up with something. Ive never had that problem. I wouldn't hesitate in calling they're customer support either. You'll be greeted by a well spoken representative that actually has a knowledge of the product. I've even had them send me free parts on products that were well outside the warranty. I think a little TLC and yours will be back up and going.

FWIW, I did not complete the purchase due to the reviews (and I already have the Mr. Buddy 9K) but Amazon is not preventing me from buying this in California as far as I can tell. Was able to get to the last screen to submit order and usually it stops me for other things that are prohibited. Walmart stopped me right away after I added it to my cart .

Thanks. Picked one up for when I don't feel like sharing my Mr Buddy with my wife at some of the kids early season travel ball games.

Looks like the price jumped up to $103 on Amazon now. I got one for $49 at Walmart....not sure I really need it living in TX but after the huge electricity blackout in Feb 2021 when it was very cold out and electricity out for days with pipes freezing, it might be good to have one on hand just in case.

Yeah, I never forgot that 3 days winter storm in TX. We got blackout for 3 days (NO ELECTRIC, NO HEATER, and NO WATER). My house is freaking cold. I had to wear like 3 jackets inside the house. Now, I got to prepare generator and go in for 3 portable heaters for my house Big Grin. BTW, thank for the post worship

(This is not to say to buy or not to buy a product. I just have a question for people on this forumn/product)

I have gone through 2 mr buddy 18k heaters. they have both stopped working after sitting for a few months of non-use (from end of winter to beginning of winter).
Does anyone know why?

We use a propane tank and a propane hose. For the second one, we started using the filter accessory that attaches to the inlet. We though that would keep the mr buddy in working condition but apparently not.

I don't even use a filter. I use a big buddy official 12 ft hose. No issues in 7 years and I live in RV year around.
