This card is used for media boxes where you want performance in encoding and decoding. You also want it to be power efficient on sleep and running. That is where they shine in the those PLEX media servers. They just run the power supplied by the express slot. There are probably plenty of used GPU cards that can beat this in performance and cost less. But I'm looking for something that can perform and run 20 to 50 watts since the PC will be on 24/7. So I'm looking at operational costs too

your card offers 15% more performance at double the TDP (150W vs 75W for the intel card), your card launched at the $169 price point, this card launched at the $149 price point. this card also blows your card away when it comes to encoding. I have a RX 580 8GB and I don't even bother with it for encoding, my onboard intel graphics blow it away.

Low profile refers to the bracket height, not the cooler thickness.

The thinnest, most powerful low profile GPU option that I'm aware of is the Yeston GTX 1650 on Amazon, it is low profile and also single slot design.

Good enough for basic video editing? Mainly for decode timeline editing, no Fx. Also does it come with normal bracket mount?

I've been struggling to find decent reviews of the A380, but as near as I can tell it performs as well as the GTX 1650 and AMD 6400 for gaming, but I have seen conflicting data regarding its performance when using ReBAR and not, so if you have an older CPU, performance might be poor.

From a video decode/encode perspective, it's a monster and can do multiple streams of any kind. Check compatibility with whatever software you use to edit though.

According to ASRock's product page, it comes with a full-height bracket:

Accessories
- 1 x Quick Installation Guide
- 1 x Full Height Bracket

After all these years it still can't beat a 1650 LP, I don't see the point.
@super_android, I think you'd be better off checking the used market.

my Asrock 570 8GB card I bought in 2019 for less performs better than this.

It is low profile, but that is for its height. It sounds like you need a 1 slot card since this one would take up 2 slots.

I don't know about that. Intel has finally started to iron out their driver issues. Gaming performance is pretty comparable. Not to mention you are getting 6GB vs 4GB of VRAM at half the price. I think this card is definitely worthy of consideration.

Would this be useful at all for a NVR for security cameras? I'm looking to install a DIY camera system with Frigate or something running on a combo media server, nas, nvr thing is the half baked plan atm.

Depending on what type of encoding it uses, it could be an excellent use case for that.

Is it any upgrade from RX 570 4gb (gddr5, 300mhz, 14nm, 150w) ? I am looking for smaller form factor (yet very cheap) to fit in my backup computer case.
With rx570 I keep one panel of the case slightly open.
