Just so you know, its not necessarily where you live but what the said store prices out the items as they are franchise owned and have leeway to set their own pricing.
2 Taco bells in town 5 miles either way:
Soft Taco = $1/$1.79
Bean and Rice = $1.29/$1.79
The stores were much more closer in pricing if not identical about 2 years ago.

$4.17 at the Taco Bell near me for these items for a BYO cravings box sounds like a great deal to me!
Yea, I have the same 2 combo and ironically have the 2 other items in my last order but not sure if I "activated" the offer lol as i had a 20% off. So, for me buying the breakfast item is even more out of the way ha and what others have noted is that the "Free" box is technically more money for less items compared to the Cravings box priced at $5 Chalupa/5Layer/Taco/Twists.
