Regular Chocolate bars go for about $5/lb. Godiva is fantastic so maybe $10?
Much like gold bars, the value here is in what other people think you paid for it/think it's worth.
At least in the apocalypse that certain people seem to buy gold as a nonsensical hedge against, this would still be edible lol.
(to be fair, chocolate truffles tend to cost quite a bit more than bar chocolate… at the same time, this doesn't even sound like it's a box of actually good hand made truffles, or even a box that's entirely just truffles. It's like the box you send to someone who's simply going to be impressed by a relatively over hyped and over commercialized name brand and the thought that you spent a lot of money, without realizing that actually compared to smaller scale high quality chocolatiers, you simultaneously cheaped out while wasting money doing it)
These probably taste fine but doubt enough to justify over twice the cost of the godiva or kirkland they sell in warehouse. Glorified whitmans sampler. At this price, better off with fresher sees at $29 per pound.

I agree it is for gifting purposes. Dont take me wrong, I love Godiva but the prices are crazy especially with all the multiple coupon stacking at Macys in the past years I remember getting so many of them free when Macys had the $15 off $15 printable coupon fiasco about ten years ago haha so much fun. I think we got 10 boxes of $14.99 Godiva and gifted them all out that Christmas.
Nearly 20 years on Slickdeals, I have seen a lot! Heck I have even seen the Slickdeals CEO at CES tradeshow, I told him I have been a member for years and he took his SD promotional shirt off and gave it to me. Super nice guy.
