I have an app on my phone called Gentle Wakeup that mimics a sunrise alarm clock. I just pair it with a stand and it works decently well for me. App is free. This is for android, don't know if an iOS version exists.

Also, as a previous poster wrote, some smart bulbs can easily replicate this as well. I think Alexa has a built-in ramping-up schedule. Obviously, the bulb has to be at least tuneable white and not simply a single color.

I have the Philips sunrise alarm clock radio, I love the thing. Had it almost 10 years now and it greatly helped me reduce waking up with headaches

I tried one of these a few years ago. The gradual sunrise simulation never even once woke me up. Plus you have to fiddle with an alarm clock instead of using your phone or Amazon Echo as your alarm clock.

I also have a Philips Sunrise clock and the light helps tremendously with waking up alert and not in a bad mood and hazy state. It is having some weird issue now but I recommend any good sunrise clocks for people like me who are not morning people.
This particular light has lower reviews for not being bright enough.

I'll second the Philips sunrise clock. Got mine used on eBay for about $20 and it works perfectly fine. Plenty bright and helps me wake up with less grogginess.

For reference, the Phillips Sunrise is priced at approximately $150.

Both my daughter and I have Philips sunrise alarm clocks and LOVE them. Great way to waken with a gradual light. I have the HF3520 and she has the HF3500. Both do the job, but one has more features (for basically double the price). This is tempting for other family members to try something similar without having to spend $60-$120.

Product Description from Store

Wake up naturally with the Westclox Sunrise simulating alarm clock. The unique combination of light and the pleasant audible ascending alarm will wake you up feeling refreshed. Wind down before bed with the sunset simulation feature with the push of one button. You will quickly feel relaxed, rested and be ready to fall asleep. The clock can also be used as a nightlight with dimmable brightness. The LED time display is easy to read day or night. The time display can also be adjusted to be dim or bright. This clock is simple to set and operate. The large snooze button allows you to get an extra few minutes of sleep. The battery backup is optional and requires 2 AAA batteries (not included).

These are great for winter mornings when it's too dark to want to get out of bed. I own the Philips one and have used it for five plus years.
